Section 01
About NyayaSetu

NyayaSetu is a SaaS-based legal technology marketplace and practice management platform.

NyayaSetu is not a law firm. All legal services are provided exclusively by independent, Bar Council-registered advocates. NyayaSetu acts solely as a technology intermediary under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Section 02
Eligibility

To use NyayaSetu you must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen or resident of India (or Indian-incorporated entity), have legal capacity under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and not be barred from using online services under Indian law.

Advocates must additionally hold a valid Certificate of Practice from their State Bar Council and be in good standing with the Bar Council of India.

Section 03
Registration & Account Security

You must provide accurate information at registration. You agree to: notify us of any unauthorised access at hello@nyayasetu.com; not share credentials; not create duplicate accounts; and keep your profile current.

  • Not contact advocates outside the platform to circumvent fees during an active NyayaSetu engagement
  • Not record consultations without the advocate's explicit consent
Section 06

Section 07
Marketplace Transactions

  • The legal services contract is formed directly between client and advocate
  • NyayaSetu charges a platform commission deducted from the advocate's payout
  • Payments are held in escrow and released upon confirmed service delivery
  • Service quality disputes are between client and advocate; NyayaSetu may provide mediation but is not liable for outcomes
Section 08
Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: violate Indian law or professional ethics; post false or defamatory content; impersonate any person or advocate; upload malware; scrape platform data without written consent; engage in fraud or financial crime; harass users; or violate the Advocates Act, 1961. Violations may result in suspension, termination, and referral to authorities.

Section 09
Intellectual Property

All content on NyayaSetu — including the name 'NyayaSetu', logos, design, and software — is proprietary and protected under Indian intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute platform content without express written consent.

Section 10
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

NyayaSetu is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted service, the accuracy of advocate information, or that any legal service will produce a desired outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, NyayaSetu shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Section 11
Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Parties agree to 30 days of good-faith negotiation before litigation.
